First Lady of Suffolk Wedding: Jennifer + Toni

I have never witnessed a love quite like the love that these two share for each other.  It is remarkable how endearing each word and look they offer to each other is so completely honest.  With each kiss, you can truly see how much they mean it.

They first met while Toni was completing his PhD in Wisconsin in 2009.  Shortly after, they reunited in Toni’s home county, Spain and traveled to Morocoo as well. After having spent this trip together, they knew this was something special and no amount of distance could put a kink in what they found. They Skyped every day and Toni took several lengthy trips to the U.S. to visit Jennifer over the course of the next year. In April of 2011, Toni found a permanent position in the U.S. If there’s a will, there’s a way…right?

It was such an honor to spend the day with Jennifer, Toni and all their family and friends celebrating their marriage to each other.

Congratulations you two!

The wedding took place at the First Lady of Suffolk in Virginia.

Thanks to Shelina of Blush Hair and Makeup Salon for Jennifer’s makeup.

Jennifer was surrounded by her closest friends all afternoon while she got ready.

Ben was with Toni and the gentleman as they got ready.

Very handsome….

The ceremony was held in a small chapel inside the Victorian venue…

Toni and Jennifer had a meaningful ceremony full of the romantic Spanish language and traditions…

You can see the thrill on her face shortly after having sealed their love…

Toni and Jennifer had pictures of their parents on display on their wedding days. Below is Toni’s parents…

The reception was exquisite, filled with lots of dancing…

…and heartfelt and humorous speeches…

They had a wonderful sendoff with lots and lots of bubbles!

York, Maine Wedding: Lindsay + Alex

A few weekends ago, Ben and I had the wonderful pleasure of traveling to Maine for the first time and photographing Lindsay and Alex’s special day.  I don’t believe these two could have asked for a more beautiful day.  The York Harbor Reading Room is set atop a gorgeous peak overlooking the York Harbor. Maine is just as beautiful as I had imagined with the shake siding cottages and signs for lobster on every corner.  Every breath I took felt so pure.

As the sunny skies met the deep blue water horizon, Lindsay and Alex vowed their lives together.  Surrounded by family and friends, Alex and Lindsay relished in their day and we could not have been more honored to be there to capture it.

Congratulations, Lindsay and Alex. I hope you’re enjoying your wonderful honeymoon in Hawaii.

Lindsay, her mom and her bridesmaids got ready at a beautiful shake sided home down the road from the venue.

The morning was calm and collected, just as Lindsay had wanted.

Isn’t she a stunning bride?

On her way to see her groom for the First Look…

And at the York Harbor Inn, Ben was with Alex while he got ready…

About to see his bride for the first time…

The First Look was held at the Nubble Lighthouse in York.

They were full of smiles when they saw each other…

Went back to Lindsay’s getting ready location for a few more photos…

…then it was off to get married at The York Harbor Reading Room

It was truly a beautiful ceremony…

A few bridal shots before the reception. While the ladies were elegant…

…the gentlemen were not. But fun nonetheless…

I loved the guest favors of Maine Blueberry Jam…so fitting.

Alex and Lindsay entered with a beautifully choreographed dance…

The speeches were heartfelt and somewhat humorous…

A night full of dancing and laughing is the only wish of a bride and groom. I think they got their wish…
